As soon as the Israelites are given the אשרת הדברות and the שמע & ואהבת , they are told the following:

- Why is God so worried about being forgotten so soon after bringing the people to Israel?
- Why so soon after repeating the אשרת הדיברות does God need to reiterate the commandment not to worship other Gods?
- What happened in Massah?
- What does it mean 'your God is a jealous God'?
- What are the commandments - מצוות , testimonies - עדות , and statues - חוקים ? What is the difference between them all?

it means that he is jealous because he brough you into the world and out of slavery so he would be mad if everyone would believe in a different god

3. The Israelites were being led through the desert by G-d and they eventually stopped at a place where there was no water for them to drink. They start arguing with Moses, telling him to give them water. Moses asks G-d how to handle the Israelites complaining. G-d then provides water for them and Moses "called the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the LORD. (The word "Meribah" means "quarreling," and the word "Massah" beans "testing.")
4. G-d will be jealous if the Israelites worship and represent other gods other than Him.

These three statements are extremely similar. However, each of them defines the severity of the given law. The Torah consists of MANY laws, commandments, etc. and thus must be explain all of them for the given scholar.

3.Massah is where Moses broke open the rock that brought forth water for the complaining Israelites. This is when G-d first gave into the complaints of the Israelites.
4.G-d is described as jealous because it makes Him angry when the Israelites disobey His orders and go against Him, by worshiping false gods after all He has done for them.
5. A commandment is a rule that is to be observed strictly. Then a testimony is evidence or proof provided by the existence or appearance of something. Then a statue is a carved or casted figure of a person or animal.

“…and he chose their seed after them, you above all people, as it is this day.”
Ramban has a commentary on this passage regarding the reference to the time period for which this pact with God will last. He tries to make the point that as Moses was addressing the children of Israel right before they were crossing into Israel, that the words “AS IT IS THIS DAY.” Does this mean that day and then every day after is void? Or is it of every day following as well, if the person says AS IT IS THIS DAY, and will last for generation after generation.

Ramban wants to show that by “circumcising” your heart, you can see everything with an open and optimistic view. I think by “circumcising” the text really means remove something from your heart that has been previously blinf=ding you from seeing the whole point.
